Pupil Premium and Catch up Funding Information

Pupil Premium and Catch up Funding Information

The Government is giving extra funding to schools called 'Pupil Premium', to help children from lower income families do their very best. For every child registered for Free School Meals, our funding increases by £935 this year. With this money we can continue to improve our students' learning experience and achievement.

Please register as soon as possible to make sure your child and others in our school don't miss out on this vital funding.  Registering is quick and easy, to check you're entitled to Free School Meals:

http://www.kent.gov.uk/education-and-children/schools/free-school-meals

Or alternatively call 08458 247 247, select option 2 and state your national insurance number and date of birth. The operator will inform you there and then if your child/children are entitled to FSM. Registering for Free School Meals will not affect any other benefits you're claiming, if you're eligible, you can download an application form.

Once you are registered, your child will be entitled to a free meal at lunchtime and we will receive an extra £600 to further support our students education. If you would prefer your child to not have the school meals, they are welcome to continue as normal, however, providing you're registered, we will still receive the extra funding.
