Under 13 Girls County Cricket Finals

The Under13 Girls cricketers went to the County finals at the Spitfire ground in Canterbury on Wednesday 20^th March. Having got through the regionals before Christmas in their first ever games of cricket, the level of competition increased as they were faced with more experienced teams and players.

The girls rose to the challenge and played some excellent cricket, they just missed out by one run in the semi-final, on the very last ball of the game! but they picked themselves up to win the 3^rd / 4^th playoff, making them the third best team in the county!

This is a great achievement for our team, some of whom were actually playing their first competitive games of cricket against teams that had been playing for some time and even had Kent players representing them.

The girls represented the school with impeccable behaviour and we are very proud of their achievement.
