Admissions Consultation – September 2028 Admissions

The Sandwich Technology School is consulting on its Admissions Policy for September 2028. The purpose of this consultation is so that we, as a school, comply with the DfE School Admissions Code and consult with our local and wider community when there are proposed changes.

Period of Consultation: Monday 2 November 2026 to Monday 14 December 2026 at 5pm.

This period meets the required period of 6 weeks.

Year 7 Admission
Published Admissions Number (PAN) : It is proposed to reduce the PAN from 245 to 180

The oversubscription criteria:

• It is proposed to add staff skills shortage to the current “Children of staff” criteria.
• It is proposed to swap the order of “Children of staff” criteria with the “Health and Special Access Reasons”. A swap between ranking 3 and 4 to bring this in-line with BCAT schools

Sixth Form
Published Admissions Number (PAN) : No change

The oversubscription criteria:

• It is proposed to add a “Children of staff” criteria to the oversubscription criteria (as above) to be consistent with the rest of the School admissions.
