A-Level Results Day 2025
Back
The 2025 A Level results are the best ever achieved at Sandwich Technology School and significantly higher than last year’s results. The previous school record for A Levels was comfortably eclipsed with students’ results a quarter of a grade higher on average. A third of all grades awarded were at A*-B which is far higher than anything achieved by previous cohorts at STS.
These record results were achieved across a range of highly academic A Levels subjects, including English, Maths, History, Geography and Religious Studies. Results in Science were especially pleasing with students achieving the best outcomes the school has seen in A Level Biology and Chemistry. Results in Creative subjects were of particular note, with students awarded grades that are significantly above the national average. This will be of no surprise to anyone who viewed students’ work at the recent CREATE 25 exhibitions.
Students’ results were hugely improved in Applied (Vocational) subjects where overall performance was a third of a grade higher than in 2024. The school is delighted to see these improvements in the Applied subjects with performances in Performing Arts, Sport and Finance of particular note.
The overwhelming majority of the students are moving on to their first-choice university and many are studying prestigious courses.
Individual students who have done particularly well include the following:
Chelsea Goldman achieved two A* grades in Art and EPQ, an A in English Literature, B in Psychology and a Distinction in Performing Arts. She is going to study Law at Warwick University
Reanna Hickie two A grades (Biology and Chemistry) and two B grades and is going to the Royal Veterinary College in London to study Veterinary Science
Izzy Wilson secured two A grades and a B and is going to study Sociology at the University of Surrey

Dan Clark is studying History at Kent University having achieved three B grades and a C
Freddie Dunsford is studying Fashion Marketing at the University of the Arts in London having achieved an A and two C grades
The school is very proud of the students for achieving these record results. It is a result of their hard work, attention to detail and ambition. We would also like to thank the parents for their support and hard work behind the scenes encouraging their children. Thank you also to the teachers who have inspired the students to achieve these results.
In addition, the students in Year 13 will be remembered as people of good character who made a significant contribution to the life of the school and the wider community. We look forward to hearing of their future achievements.
